Using a compass and flexible ruler, students will draw design on gourd surface for chip carving, staining, and finishing.
INSTRUCTOR PROVIDES
A clean bomber gourd, sand paper, line drawing apparatus, stain, shoe polish and paste wax along with a wire loop for hanging will be supplied. Metal stand shown in picture is NOT included.
STUDENT SHOULD BRING
Students will need a wood carvers gouge #11 X 3/16 inch, a protective glove, a drawing compass, and a pencil.
