Choosing a dipper gourd for it's sound as a shaker, choosing a pattern for the gourd, drawing a pencil design by copying from pattern (provided from copywrite- free source), painting with acrylic paints.
INSTRUCTOR PROVIDES
Patterns for southeastern designs to choose from, pencils, erasers, paintbrushes, water & containers, paper towels, acrylic paints.
Will present information about early ancestors from prehistoric times that left designs on artefacts here in Southeast, known as Mississipian Moundbuilders, cerca 800-1500 A.D. of the Woodland era.
STUDENT SHOULD BRING
A dipper gourd with loose seeds inside (preferred). To be bought onsite from gourd vendors outside.
Instructor will bring a few, if prefer to buy at cost.
Students may also bring their own paints and stains, which will increase choices, but not decrease cost.
Student will save $3.00 by bringing their own gourd.
Walk-ins welcome if class is not full
