Learn to use Fantasy Film to embellish your gourds and gourd shards. By using a heat gun or a household iron you can develop brillant colors and designs on your gourd. You will learn various ways to use this film. Fantasy Film is usually used in scrapbooking or rubber stamping, but we will adapt it for our use. In this class we will dye the gourd, apply fantasy film and a make a simple rim treatment. We will also embellish a gourd shard to be used as a pendent or attach to a gourd as an embellishment.
INSTRUCTOR PROVIDES
Fantasy Film, a cut cleaned gourd, gourd shards, dye, reed, wire and beads for rim treatment. A tutorial will also be provided.
STUDENT SHOULD BRING
1. Heat gun (must be a heat gun, a hair dryer will not work on this product)
2. Scissors
For a $3.00 savings, students may bring their own following supplies:
Cut and cleaned gourd, with an opening 4-5 inches across top
