Everything you ever wanted to know and learn about making gourd lamps of all different kinds. All your questions will be answered by renowned gourd art lamp maker Karen Brown. She'll show you how to wire a lamp, what are the best types of sockets to use, and the bulbs that work best for different kinds of lamp. Each student will get to make a small power carved luminary during class time.
INSTRUCTOR PROVIDES
Handouts, burrs/bits for project, patterns, gourds cut and cleaned and ready to work on. I will have some extra rotary tools for those who don't bring theirs with. Sand paper, pencils, power strips.
STUDENT SHOULD BRING
A respirator, rotary tool
Walk-ins welcome if class is not full (and no later than 10 minutes after start of class)
