Shells on the Beach

We will draw and then woodburn a coiling rope around a small gourd (6-7'). Around the rope students will woodburn designs based on shells, starfish, sea urchins. All items found on the beach. There will be different templates to choose from so each gourd will be unique to the student. We will outline & shade with the woodburner and then add color to the designs with transparent acrylics. The final touch to our gourd beach will be to glue sand all over the gourd below the designs so they look like they have just washed ashore
