RAFFLE
GATHERING FUNDRAISERS
Our annual fundraisers are the reason we can hold this Gathering without charging a conference or entry fee to participants.
Besides being the most popular activity during the Gathering, the Raffle provides a fun and exciting way for those who can't attend this year's Gathering to participate!  You may choose to donate a prize, or to purchase tickets in advance by snail mail.

Photographs of your donation received through May 10th will be published on this site, along with information about the donator, including links to your site(s) if you desire.   Tickets will be available for sale by mail through May 15th.

Donations do not have to be finished gourd art ~ raw gourds, supplies, tools, books, etc. make great prizes, too.

Send a picture of your Raffle prize to Joy Jackson.   (Pictures should be no larger than 75KB)

Include the following information:

Your name
Your business name if you have one
Physical location
Description of your item
Email address
Website URL if you have one

Donations will also be accepted at the door during the Gathering, and placed in either the Raffle or the Auction.  Although these Raffle prizes won't be shown on the website, they will be included in the prize drawing.

For donations that need to be mailed in advance, send  by May 15 to

Darlene Whitetree

By U.S. Mail Service:
P.O. Box 2212
Cherokee, NC  28719

By UPS:
293 Snowy Owl Lane
Whittier, NC  28789

"Raffle" should be marked on the outside of the box

Also, email Darlene and let her know how many boxes you are sending, so she'll know if they've all been received.  This is especially important this year as Darlene is in the middle of building a new home!

AUCTION
Another very popular activity is the Auction which is held Saturday evening.  Donated items are accepted in advance (as described above) and at the door.  If you would like to have a photo of your donation posted on this site in advance, send the picture to Joy Jackson.  Include the information requested above for raffle donations, and follow the same mailing instructions (mark "Auction" on the outside of the box).

Once again a portion of the Auction donations will be sold by silent auction.  This will help shorten the  Auction so we can all get a better night's rest on Saturday and have more energy for the Sunday  activities!   Not sure what a "silent" auction is all about?  Well here's the scoop:

***SILENT AUCTION***
Action--Fun--Suspense!

Here is your opportunity to bid and WIN quality items from fellow gourders!

The process is simple and FUN:
~ Each item will have a starting bid price and a suggested bid increment.
~ Find the perfect piece, make a bid, sign your name & let the games begin.
~ Check back often to be sure you have not been outbid or to bid on another gourd treasure.
~ Highest bid at the end of the auction wins!

The Silent Auction will open for bids at 1:00 pm Friday
and bidding will close at 4:30 pm Saturday.

REMEMBER, all proceeds will help support this and future Gatherings.

We hope you will consider supporting one of these with your donations, purchase of tickets for the Raffle, or winning bids during the Auction!
Simply print tickets on plain white paper, complete all information, and mail with payment!

If you have problems printing the tickets, simply cut some white paper to approximately 4-1/2” x 3”, print your name, address, email, and phone number on them, and mail with payment to:
