We will be making a centerpiece-gourd bowl/basket with matching candle holders. A clean gourd will be cut with two large openings and cleaned inside. It will then be painted inside and stained outside. Embellishments will be attached of leather, feathers and beads to the bowl/basket. Using gourd scraps we will make candle holders by adhering 2 pieces together, staining and embellishing them to match the gourd bowl. Students will add their own candles depending on their scrap sizes.

Medium gourd with rounded top-must sit ; gourd scraps (neck and tops that flair) see photo
For a savings of $5.00, students may bring their own following supplies:
