This project combines carving and wood burning to create a Feather Pin. It's a nice little piece of jewelry made from gourd pieces you have left over after cutting a gourd bowl,vase,ect. Like the birds in the wild you can see as many feather shapes, sizes, and colors imaginable. Students will leave the class with a completed pin, two additional blanks with pin back attached, and the beginning of a project you can't get enough of.
INSTRUCTOR PROVIDES
Precut gourd blanks, pin backs, glue, fine sand paper, acrylic paints, and tutorial with patterns, paper towel, water containers, and pallets.
STUDENT SHOULD BRING
Woodburner with a spear point or razor tip, rotary tool with sanding barrels,paint brushes one 1/4 inch flat brush and script liner, and a willingness to have FUN.
