Beginning with a whole gourd, students will cut it open, clean the inside, apply the design, carve, inset beads, both flat and 3-dimensional, then learn how to wire in electric for a hanging lamp.
INSTRUCTOR PROVIDES
Clean gourd, beads, drill bits, electrical wiring and hanging parts, epoxy, stains, patterns, and instructional handout.
STUDENT SHOULD BRING
Students must bring a rotary type tool, pencils, dye or stain (for more color choices), and their imagination
Walk-ins welcome if class is not full
