Students will learn to make a wall clock from a gourd piece. You will wood burn a pattern of your choice onto the surface and burn smaller patterns on the top, sides, and bottom for 12, 3, 6, and 9. You will add color to the pattern using ink pens, ink dyes, paints, etc. When completed, you will weave a round reed border around the outside.
INSTRUCTOR PROVIDES
Instructor will supply all the materials needed for this class including basket weaving supplies for the rim, as well as a tutorial. Gourd piece will be pre drilled for the clock movement and reed and will be painted behind. A variety of shapes and sizes will be available.
STUDENT SHOULD BRING
Students should bring their wood burner.

Gourd piece about 12" circumference, pre drilled for clock movement and reed and painted behind - $ 7.00
(any size or shape can be used to create a clock)
Coloring agents they wish to use (paint, ink pens and dyes, etc) - $ 3.00
Clock Movement - $ 5.00
About 10' of #3 or #4 round reed - $ 3.00
Walk-ins welcome if class is not full
