Enter the world of "Bonsai" Students will learn how to make an armature then apply quickwood to make a free form Bonsai Tree. In addition application of colors on the gourd and bonsai, students will learn the art of free form engraving. This is the process of applying color to the gourd then using an engraving tool to outline various shapes made by the color contrasts in the gourd. This is a fun relaxed class that will allow students the freedom to express themselves with gourds! Questions welcomed! Fun Mandantory!
The Instructor will provide the following:
Gourd, Apoxie Sculpt, foil, various paints, dyes and inks to choose from. Spray varnish or polyurethane. Sponges. Gloves. Masks. Various kinds of leaves.
Students should bring:
Rotary tool with engraving or small ball cutter burrs.
For a savings of $5.00, students may bring:
Canteen or tobacco box gourd, six inches or less.
Gloves & masks.
Walk-ins welcome if class is not full
