Students will be taught wet sanding techniques to prepare a gourd for carving seafoam. Dremel tool and various bits will be used to create depth and interest. Use of an awl to get various size holes. Use of Acrylic transparent paints. Addition of embellishments to students taste.
INSTRUCTOR PROVIDES
Gourd; Sand paper mulitple grits; gloves; Acrylic transparent paints; felt; brushes; regular acrylic paints; shell for base; embellishments.
STUDENT SHOULD BRING
Variable speed dremel tool. Thin diamond wheel. Medium cutter ball. Medium Cutter Cone. (I will have a few of these to share); Clothing Protection.
