Friday Afternoon 2-6
Students will first transfer and woodburn the design, then carefully carve around the area as relief carving. Next, stain will be added to the gourd, and gold foil to the design, as well as paint. We will then add a coiled seagrass rim along with a forked antler to complete the Southwest design.
INSTRUCTOR PROVIDES
Stains, paints, spray finishes, seagrass, antler, waxed linen, needle, design, detailed pattern, carbon paper and misc. supplies.
STUDENT SHOULD BRING
Gourd, cleaned and prepared, with a design surface of 6 inches tall by 6 inches wide
Also woodburner and carver with several sizes of round ball bits.
Walk-ins welcome if class is not full (must bring prepared gourd)
