3 Hours - All Levels
Friday Afternoon 2 - 5

Students will learn how apply transtint inks, measure in a border, make a repeating pattern with very fine lines and a textured background. We will also overdye in "shadows". Two bits will be used,a straight dental bit and a small ball bit.

INSTRUCTOR PROVIDES
I will supply transtint dyes, denatured alchohol, gloves, dental bits for class use, applicators, wool daubers, fixative, cleaned and cut gourds, rulers, pencils, erasers, cardstock for making pattern, scissors, tape. I have a hair dryer and a heat gun. Electric plug ins and extension cords.

STUDENT SHOULD BRING
Students must bring a mask, rotary tool that has a universal chuck or collets to fit the dental bits, a small round bit (not diamond). If they prefer not to use dental bits,a straight bit will be fine (no diamond bits) we will be making very fine lines.
If you have a hair dryer or heat gun it will help and speed things up.

For a savings of $5.00, students may bring the following:
Gourd undyed 5-7 across and about 7 inches tall, cut or uncut, your choice

Walk-ins welcome if class is not full (must bring rotary tool and come within first 10 minutes)
